Medicare4All Information Session
Time & Location
About the Event
It’s clear that the American healthcare system is in crisis: tens of millions are uninsured or under-insured, unable to access necessary care because of prohibitively high premiums, deductibles, and co-pays that rise each year. While we spend more per capita on our health care than other nations, our health outcomes are worse. The answer to how we finally win coverage for everyone and create a healthcare system that cares about people, not profit is Medicare for All.
Improved & Expanded Medicare for All, as proposed in SB1129 by Senator Sanders and in HR1384 by Rep. Jayapal, would create a single-payer system to insure everyone with comprehensive coverage, free at-the-point of service. Currently nearly 90% of Democrats, and over half of Republicans, favor a move to a single-payer system, but in order to convert support into action, we need to get organized - the massive insurance and pharmaceutical lobbies are against us. If you're already a Medicare for All advocate, on the fence, or just want to learn more about how to solve our healthcare crisis, come out to our panel and Q&A on Tuesday, September 10th.
Join us at the Quakertown Campaign Office at 326 W Broad St, Quakertown PA, from 6:30-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10th to learn more about what a single-payer, Medicare for All system is, why we need it, and how we're going to win it. There will be presentations from healthcare practitioners, policy experts and organizers from the movement with time for Q&A.
